Ragdale's Novel Affair
 |
After a wildly successful sold-out event in 2007, A Novel Affairs returns. Friday night's opening reception is already slated to take place at a historic Lake Forest estate, the locations have been decided and the authors have been announced.

LF Symphony Concert

Lake Forest Symphony, under the musical direction of Alan Heatherington, at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts in Grayslake on the College of Lake County campus.
The concert will begin at 8 p.m., with a free pre-concert lecture by music researcher and composer Jim Kendros offered at 7 p.m. Concert sponsors: First Midwest and Lake Forest Symphony Guild.
Single tickets for the concert are $49, $39 and $29 with senior and student discounts available. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Symphony office at 847-295-2135 or online at www.lakeforestsymphony.org.

Witches Walk

This annual Halloween festival at Middlefork Farm Nature Preserve, is educational and sometimes spooky, but always fun for the whole family. Go in costume and be the guests of the Open Lands witches. Hosted by the Associate Board of Lake Forest Open Lands. Park at Lake Forest Hospital and take the shuttle -- better than a broom!
